Science Teacher

Mr Raye’s passion for teaching began with tutoring Physics to pre-university students while he was pursuing his Bachelor’s degree. He took on his first international teaching position in a sovereign island country, Maldives, to teach Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) Physics. He then moved to China about thirteen years ago to capitalise his teaching experience as well as to explore the third largest country in the world. 

Before moving to Nord Anglia International School, Pudong, Mr Raye held various positions including teaching CIE IGCSE and Advanced level Physics, IB diploma Physics and as an IB Diploma Coordinator in Nanjing. He moved to NAIS, Pudong in August 2015, to explore teaching more diverse group of students with multitude of educational backgrounds and he is thoroughly enjoying promoting curiosity through inquiry based learning in Science.

Mr Raye likes to maintain high level of fitness and hence likes to workout regularly. He enjoys playing cricket, tennis and badminton. In free time, Mr Raye likes reading updates on Astronomy, watching movies and shopping on Taobao.
