    Noel Wallace

    Noel has worked for Nord Anglia Education for over 15 years and joined us from our school in Abu Dhabi back in 2015. Before working in Abu Dhabi, Noel was the founding Director of Sport at our Puxi school, and has also worked in Kuala Lumpur and Kuwait. Noel is passionate about sports; organising and running many local and international tournaments. He always nurtures and encourages good sportsmanship within our students.

    Janice Lyke

    Janice was born and raised in New Zealand, where she attended university, trained as a teacher and started her career in Physical Education. Janice initially worked for three years as a PE teacher in New Zealand before heading abroad to teach in England. While living in the UK she continued to teach in and around London and also spent some time travelling around Europe. For most of her career in England, Janice was the Deputy Head of PE in an all girls’ school in North London. She then returned to New Zealand to get married and start her family where she continued to teach PE and Mathematics, in between having her two children.

    Janice next made the move with her family to Abu Dhabi where she was a PE teacher and co-ordinator for four years in an IB school. Passionate about travelling and experiencing different cultures, she made the decision to move to Shanghai to Nord Anglia British International School, Pudong in August 2018 and has been teaching across both Primary and Secondary. Janice is passionate about Netball and has coached our teams to achieve much success in tournaments, both locally and nationally.

    Alex Kalischer

    After graduating from Liverpool John Moores University, school of sport and exercise science, Alex began his teaching career starting with preliminary experience in a range of primary and secondary schools. Alex graduated from Exeter University in 2009 with qualified teacher status and travelled to America where he worked in Washington DC as a football coach and PE teacher. Alex returned the year after where he worked in West Yorkshire for two highly successful schools.

    Mark Keenan

    Mark completed his PGCE with the University of Sunderland, England. Prior to moving with his family to Shanghai to take up his position at NAIS Pudong, he lived and taught in Abu Dhabi for thirteen years, five of those at our Nord Anglia Education sister school, BIS Abu Dhabi. Having worked for Nord Anglia Education before, it was an easy decision for him to join NAIS Pudong in 2015 as he believes in the global learning philosophy and approach to education adopted by NAE. Mark believes in the importance of encouraging all children to be ambitious and supporting them to be the best that they can be as well as opening the door for students to become global citizens. Mark has an extensive knowledge of teaching PE throughout different year groups from Early Years Foundation Stage to Secondary.  Additionally, he has completed his FA Football Coaching Certificates and has coached youth teams for nearly twenty years. Mark also leads the Duke of Edinburgh International Award within the school and has implemented a successful program for students in Years 10, 11 and 12; with many of his students completing the Gold level of the program.
