Nursery Class Teacher and Assistant Head of Primary
Tamara received her PGCE from the University of Sunderland and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Media & Communication Studies with French, from the University of Wolverhampton. She has been teaching since 2002 and has a varied and extensive experience in both teaching and management within Primary and the Early Years. Five of those years she spent in our sister school, British International School Abu Dhabi.
Tamara joined NAIS Pudong in 2015 and feels privileged to have been part of so many of our young pupils’ learning journeys; watching them develop and progress. Building the foundations in early education is a passion of Tamara’s and innovative and active learning is in every part of her philosophy to education. It is her belief that in the Early Years, it is about creating enabling environments and giving all her pupils the confidence to be ambitious and provide opportunities to become global life-long learners.
Family is everything to Tamara and she is very fortunate to have such an amazing and supportive one. One of her favourite pastimes, other than yoga and photography, is babysitting her little niece; that is whenever they are lucky to be together in the same country!
