    Year 3 Class Teacher and Primary Maths Leader

    Rachel Morris

    Rachel is from Wales, United Kingdom where she received her BA (Hons) Primary Education degree at Swansea Metropolitan University in 2008. Rachel was fortunate to begin her teaching career in London teaching Year One. Rachel then continued to develop her career further by moving to Cairo to start her first international post as a Year Two teacher. After five years with many positions in management including Deputy Head, Rachel took the opportunity to move to Dubai where she was Head of EYFS and KS1

    Rachel decided the next step would be a move to China and decided Shanghai was the perfect fit due to its diverse and vibrant nature. Rachel joined NAIS Pudong in 2016 to gain more experience and progress further in her career with a well-known and established school.

    Peter Lang

    Peter graduated with honours from Middlesex University before attaining PGCE status from London South Bank University. He taught in various inner-city London schools before joining NAIS Pudong in 2005. Helping students to make progress and to become life-long learners is his key motivation. “After being at the school for a few years, it is wonderful to see how some of my previous students have grown and developed into mature young adults and it’s great that they still remember me too”.

    Year 3 Class Teacher and Primary English Leader

    Adam Shackleton

    Adam holds a BA in English from the University of Exeter and a PGCE from the University of Cambridge. Before coming to Shanghai Adam taught for three years in the United Kingdom and, prior to that, he taught in Hong Kong. While teaching in the United Kingdom, Adam was responsible for science teaching and learning and gained his former school the PSQM (Primary Science Quality Mark) in recognition of the school’s outstanding science practice and results.

    Adam has been teaching at NAIS Pudong for three years now and has relished the amazing learning opportunities teaching a truly international cohort provides! Adam has loved creating exciting, practical and purposeful learning opportunities for children to engage with and enjoy. Adam believes passionately in creating a strong and positive team of parent, teacher and child.
