Marcos graduated from King’s College London with a degree in Biochemistry and Pharmacology before moving on to work in a research laboratory for a few years. In 2003 he decided to train as a science teacher and discovered how much he enjoyed working with young people and sharing his passion for the sciences.
Over a period of twelve years, Marcos worked in three London schools and became the Head of Science in an outstanding school in Hackney. In 2015 he joined an International school in Paris and moved there with his wife and children. His four years in Paris were very productive and he enjoyed them immensely. Some of his achievements included completely overhauling the science curriculum for Years 7 to 9, establishing some very successful science clubs and developing a new house point system.
Marcos has always been fascinated with China and its culture and as such he is very excited to join the NAIS Pudong teaching staff in Shanghai.
