Maxine is originally from Guernsey, Channel Islands, leaving in 1994 to attend University in Bristol. In her six years of study, she completed an Art Foundation, Ceramics Diploma, BA (Hons) in Film and Moving Image and a PGCE in Secondary Design Technology. She initially worked in a Voluntary Aided school and have spent the last 11 years teaching at a high achieving independent school in Wiltshire.
With an island background, Maxine has always been passionate about seeing the world and experiencing different cultures. Asia has always been a part of the world that she wanted to experience. Having the chance to teach the subject she loves in a new and exciting environment whilst developing as a teacher is an opportunity she is very keen to embrace.
Maxine is an avid photographer, ceramist and enjoys nothing more than spending an afternoon in her kayak on the canal network around Devizes in Wiltshire. She has travelled widely in Europe, America, India and almost moved to Australia on a permanent basis in the past. She looks forward to exploring Asia with my partner who will be joining her – from their boarding role in the UK – during the holidays.
