Jennifer has taught Art in the UK, Malaysia, Kuwait, Egypt, and the UAE and very much looking forward to coming to live and work in Shanghai. She has taught year 5 up to year 13 and enjoy the challenges and rewards that each age group bring. Jennifer was a GCSE Art Teacher since the beginning of her career and has taught IB Visual Art for the last four years. She recently spent several days in Dubai with Art teachers from all over the world sharing resources and discussing IB Visual Art, which was a rewarding and enjoyable experience. She has also been Service coordinator at BIS Abu Dhabi for the last year and was lucky enough to go to Tanzania with the students last December as well as being involved with Doctor Jane Goodall’s Roots and Shoots and many other fundraisers for good causes. She has been a form tutor all throughout her career as well as deputy head of year. Jennifer has taught in Abu Dhabi for four years and is ready for some new challenges and adventures.
Being an Art Teacher means she is excited to discover China’s Art and culture so Shanghai and the rest of China is going to be an exciting adventure for her and her 11 year old daughter. They love animals and they are especially excited to hopefully meet some pandas!
They both love to read and are a sociable pair, enjoying meeting new people. They are hoping that Shanghai will be their home for many years to come and that they will make many new friends and have many new adventures.
