Great Results in the Senior UK Mathematical Challenge

22 November 2013

Two weeks ago 38 students from Years 12 and 13 took part in the Senior UK Mathematical Challenge and now the results are in.

Our students stood out, with 28 out of 38 being awarded a certificate. That’s 74%, compared to 40% worldwide. 12 students won a Gold Certificate, 4 won Silver and 12 won Bronze. Well done to them all – a fantastic achievement.

Four of our students have scores which will allow them to enter the British Olympiad Round 1, on the 29 November. They are Min Kim, Steven He, Kwak from Y13 and Seungmin Hwang from Y12.

Min and Seungmin both share joint first place and best in school this year. They have also now beaten the school record of 117 points achieved 4 years ago held by Hwan Hee Lee (Y13 at the time).
