Q: Withdrawal and refunds

To withdraw your child, you&rsquo;ll need to provide six weeks&rsquo; notice in writing by filling in our official withdrawal form. Please email this to admissions@bisspuxi.com.If you submit your notice during a public holiday, the six-week period will start from the first day back at school following the holiday.If a withdrawal notice is submitted but the student still attends school during the term in which he/she is supposed to leave, tuition fees will be charged on a weekly cycle basis, and the refund will be deducted accordingly.Any refunds will only be considered after our admissions team has sent the leaving confirmation letter, and all withdrawal procedures are complete.The finance department will contact you via email to process the refund. You&rsquo;ll need to:Ensure all school properties, such as library books, iPads, laptops and chargers, have been returned.Ensure no fees are outstanding.Provide your bank information.The resourcing fee is fully refundable should your child leave the school, so long as all accounts have been settled, and all school property is returned without damage. We reserve the right to deduct any amounts owed to the school.A cancellation charge of RMB 16,000 applies to new students who do not attend BISS Puxi after their place has been reserved.

Application Fee	4,000 - Non-refundable fee payable on submission of application.
Enrolment Fee	4,500 - Non-refundable, payable on acceptance of a place in school.
Resource Fee	16,000 - Refundable, after leaving school and the return of all school property.
School Uniform	All students are required to wear uniform to school. There is also a separate PE kit. All uniform items to be purchased at the uniform shop.
Annual Residential Trip Fees	Year 3	1,300		Compulsory charge to cover the cost of an annual residential trip, to be invoiced with the tuition fees for students in years 3 to 10 and year 12. No refunds will be given for absence from trips.

Tuition fees for students in Years 10 and 11 include IGCSE exam entrance. Year 12 and 13 fees cover the cost of International Baccalaureate (IB) assessments.

IMPORTANT FEE INFORMATION

Making a payment

You can pay the British International School Shanghai, Puxi’s fees via electronic bank transfer or cheque in USD, HKD, GBP or RMB. We also accept cash payments; however, these can only be made using Chinese currency (RMB).

If you choose to pay our fees via bank transfer, you’ll need to send a copy of the bank remittance, together with the child’s name and year group, to our office. Conversion from USD to RMB will be based on the selling exchange rate at the time of payment. All winter term and annual fees are due by 30th May. Pupils can only attend school once all our fees have been paid.

The school reserves the right to amend its policies and fee structure if necessary and appropriate. All policies are available to parents through our website. It’s the parent or guardian’s responsibility to ensure they are aware of all relevant procedures.
