The PTA New Parents' Programme Takes to the Bund

This week on Tuesday a large group of our new parents along with the New Parent Programme Tour Team of Alice Hudson and Melinda Smith, and Tonya Blanchford the New Parent Coordinator, went on a walking tour of the Bund.

They had a wonderful English speaking tour guide who was very knowledgeable about the area and had a good sense of humour! They ended the tour with a luxurious lunch at The Cathay Room in the Fairmont Peace Hotel! Keep an eye on the blog for future tours to be advertised!

Also this week, is the monthly New Parents' Teatime at Cafe du Village near the school where they discussed where to take visitors and family when they come to Shanghai along with many travel tips when planning to travel in Southeast Asia. The next New Parents' Teatime will be open to all parents, old and new, on 24 January in the secondary dining dall. How many times have you tried to find something important or essential in Shanghai and couldn’t find it? We will have some guest speakers who will show you the fastest, easiest and, in many cases, the cheapest way to find these things which could range from kitchen appliances, clothes, food, pet care, and much more! If you plan to come, please RSVP to Tonya at tblanchford@gmail.com.

If you're new to the school, we look forward to seeing you at the next New Parent Programme event.
