Seafood Tasting:Y2

As a final part of our Seas and Oceans topic this term we would like to have a seafood tasting day in Year 2.  We have been learning a lot about the seas and oceans of the world and a lot about some of the animals that live there and we thought it was about time we tasted some of them too!!!

On Friday 29 November we would like to invite you to bring in a seafood dish from your country of origin to share with all of Year 2.  Please bring in absolutely anything that you think the children might like to have a go at tasting, from seafood pizza to sushi.

Please can you make sure that any food you bring in is clearly labeled with all the ingredients. We will ensure that all the food is correctly stored in Primary School refrigerators until the afternoon. If you would like to bring food to be served straight away, please do. We will be serving the food in the Secondary Dining Hall this year from 2.00pm onwards.

We are really hoping that the children will be adventurous about trying some new things, but it does not matter if they choose not to.  If you are able to bring in some food it would also be fantastic if you could tell us something about the food (where it is from, how it is made, when it is eaten etc.).

Thank you so much for your help with this!  Please let your class's room parent know if you are able to bring something in and what it is.

We are really looking forward to some yummy seafood and taking lots of pictures to share our experience with you all!  Hopefully the children will have brand new experiences and be really brave about trying different food from lots of different places.
