Sports Report - CISSA Girls’ Volleyball

14 February 2014

The CISSA girls’ volleyball season started just before the Chinese New Year holiday with extra training in preparation for an exciting season.

Both C2 teams played at home, Ms Boutette’s team communicated with one another well and were really supportive. Great serving by Fien Verheyen and movement on the court and effort by Tes Choi.

Mr Lancaster’s C2 team, under Isabelle Johnson’s captaincy, began to work as a team, calling for the ball at the right times and achieving some good passing to each other.  Pippa Liddard, Santhiya Raavenan and Jeanne Gandon launched excellent serves, ensuring a series of ‘three-pointers’.

The C1 team went away to YCIS and after a nervous start the girls found their confidence and played some great 3-touch volleyball. Asia Fernandez Zhou served some rockets which YCIS didn’t know how to handle and the girls came away very pleased at winning two sets in their very first game of the season.

Well done to all the girls and we look forward to a very busy week of sport next week.
