A good night’s sleep allowed us to wake early and set off on our first adventure to the Great Wall of China.  A heavy climb led us to the start of our trek and off we went.

Learning about the historical and cultural aspects of the Great Wall as we strode confidently forward it was difficult to not continually appreciate the grandeur of the structure alongside the awe inspiring views that fell and rose with the undulations of the land.

A marvellous first day was finished off with some wonderfully traditional local cuisine and night games by the river.

Orienteering, rock climbing and team building tomorrow…fun times ahead!
