Under 15 Netball Final

The U15 netball team played in the final tournament of the season last Saturday.  They played in a round robin where they came up against some tough competition from Dulwich Shanghai A, Dulwich Shanghai B, Dulwich Suzhou and BISS Pudong. In all these rounds students played their best netball this season, working well together on the court and making huge improvements in all areas focused on over the last few weeks.

At the end of the round robin after winning two games, drawing one and losing one, the girls were placed in the final against Dulwich Shanghai A team.  It was a close match and all students fought hard till the end.  The second half however, proofed very challenging and we lost marginally against Dulwich A.

Well done to all players on a fantastic season and I look forward to the challenges ahead next year.

Under 13 Netball Final

BISS Puxi entered two teams into the finals at Dulwich College Suzhou, allowing all netballers to participate.

The U13 Year 7s faced stiff competition against mainly Year 8 competitors from other teams. The tournament focus for the team was performance and I am pleased to report that they were competitive in all of their games. More importantly, the individual and team development was evident throughout the morning.

The U13 team mainly made up of Year 8s had a challenging and competitive pool to play in. A slow first game against the home team meant that we finished in 2nd place. Into the semifinals, we had a high quality game of netball against the overall winners Dulwich A. Our final game was against BISS Pudong for 3rd place overall.

The girls battled hard against a physical team. Our defence made up of Lizzie White (GD), Jennifer Carlander (GK), Camille Bowers (WD) looked very comfortable and confident.  Attacking set plays and movement began to flow better and Ella Kelly scored the winning goal in the final minutes of the game to give BISS Puxi the 3rd place win.

Congratulations U13 girls!
