Year 7 learning how to sail and surf, Year 8 building their own mini wind turbine, Year 9 rock climbing and Year 12 painting a mural around the school grounds.
Year 7s have had a great day today. In the morning we saw some showers but the sun came out for the rest of the day. Students got involved in many great activities including sailing and surfing. Many students think that catching a wave and getting up on the surf boards has been the highlight of the trip so far! Tonight after dinner everyone is going to the beach for campfire activities. Some brave volunteers are going to risk the rain tonight and sleep in tents on the beach.
Another sunny day with blue skies in the grasslands... After breakfast, the pupils learned about sustainability and wind turbines. They then had a go at building their own mini wind turbine in smaller groups with some impressive results. After lunch we started our 5 hour road trip to the Engebei Desert Hotel where we will have dinner and hot showers!
Lovely sunny day again. Students had a great time rock climbing, zip lining and kayaking. Last night they all loved the cultural dance show with nearly all students getting up and dancing on stage.
The groups have switched and the students in Group 1 have visited the local ISF primary school today where they are busy drawing and painting a mural. The enthusiasm and teamwork is exceptional!
