The competition was of the highest quality and there were national level swimmers competing from all over the world. Competition days were 14 hours long and meant that swimmers had to maintain their focus for long periods of time in order to perform at their highest level.
The BISS Lions produced excellent swims and represented the school in a mature and professional manner at all times. All swimmers achieved a number of personal bests and we had 33 swimmers making the top 8 for their events. We also had 6 swimmers reaching the top 3 in their events. This was an excellent achievement considering the high standard of competition the BISS Lions faced.
Our team captains Johnny Yeng and Margo Jacobs did an excellent job supporting the younger swimmers and helping the team prepare physically and mentally for their races.
Congratulations to all swimmers for their continued hard work and excellent achievements throughout the year so far.
