BISS Puxi Student Scoops Top Academic Award

Shanghai’s Art Deco masterpiece, the Fairmont Peace Hotel, provided a fitting venue for this year’s Cambridge Outstanding Learner Award Ceremony. The event, hosted by Cambridge International Examinations, recognises the highest achievers in public examinations taken by CIE candidates in China.

Year 12 student, Marit Wienholts, accompanied by father Ronald (pictured), took to the stage to receive her IGCSE award to a backdrop of hearty applause from fellow students, parents and school leaders.

Marit richly deserves her accolade after achieving the highest result in First Language Dutch anywhere in this country. Our congratulations go to her and to the Dutch department, which continues to help our students achieve outstanding examination results.
