Year 1 Enjoy Two Very Different Exciting Experiences

29 October 2015

Year 1 had some very exciting experiences last week with a trip to the Zoo and a lesson on how to make Sushi.

At the Zoo, we saw lots of amazing animals and had a lovely picnic in the sunshine. Some of our favourite animals were the lions, penguins, hippos and giraffes. As we walked around we came up with lots of adjectives to describe them. After a busy day of exploring we were very sleepy and some of the children even had a little sleep on the bus journey home!

Also last week, Barnaby Bear has been teaching us all about his trip to Japan. He has told us all about some of the different buildings, modes of transport and the type of food that people like to eat in Japan. We have had lots of fun playing in our Japanese arcade and sushi restaurant. Earlier in the week, we were also visited by some of our parents, who helped us to make real sushi in the cooking room.
