The ninth day of our Chinese New Year celebrations, our Year 8 class had a ‘Chinese’ PE lesson. We were divided into our four houses for the lesson. Every Chinese person knows about shuttlecock and skipping, most Chinese students have played it in primary school. In this PE lesson we also learned to play a traditional Chinese game, kick-ups with a kind of shuttlecock, and skipping. Some students were very good at this, even though they did miss some. In China there are many sports and activities like these which are worth a try, like playing sandbags for example.
