Mainly aimed at students in Year 7 and 8, this number also includes 15 students from Years 5 and 6. The challenge involves answering 25 multiple choice questions in one hour and is sat under normal exam conditions. The top 40% of students receive a gold, silver or bronze certificate and we are very pleased to report that 45 of our students will receive a certificate this year, with 16 getting Gold, 15 Silver and 14 Bronze.
Around 1,200 of the highest scorers in the Junior Mathematical Challenge are invited to participate in the Junior Mathematical Olympiad, consisting of a two-hour paper of more in-depth mathematical problems. Congratulations to Harvey Yuan and Kaiwen Yeoh in Year 8 and Lara Woo in Year 7 who have been invited to participate in the Olympiad round this year!
