BISS Students Making Music in New York

29 June 2015

Our three students who are currently in New York attending the Global Orchestra programme are having a magnificent time. Since the group arrived in New York, they’ve been very busy in rehearsals preparing for the Nord Anglia Global Orchestra concert on 30 June at The DiMenna Center for Classic Music.

A selection of images taken so far in New York

The group has enjoyed some downtime however which included a memorable dinner at the Hard Rock Café when students and staff engaged in a spontaneous show of singing and dancing in between meals.

Of course no visit to New York is ever complete without a visit to Broadway with some of the group choosing to watch Matilda at the Schubert Theatre and others taking in the Curious Incident of the Dog.

A series of ice breaking games has meant the whole group have become very comfortable with each other and already, close friendships have been formed.

We will have more updates on the trip throughout the week.
