Students had worked with great dedication to complete the individual sections of the machine and on Thursday 24 March, we assembled the machine in full.
It was a monster, stretching 20 meters from end to end with over 1000 moving parts, many of which were dominos that took large amounts of time and precision to set up. The first full run through was disappointing, with over 50 nudges needed to get the movement from one end to the other.
With each run through and reset, we improved the machines performance through re-evaluation and alteration to the set up. Keep an eye on the blog page for the release of the project video next week where we will show the final result.
