Sports Report

15 March 2017

It is with a large amount of pride this week that I write about our BISS Lions Sports programme, the results that have been collected but more importantly the attitude  our students take into sport and the class in which they take a loss of a win.

The girls and boys 1st XI football  teams both played games last week on Friday against local rivals, SAS Puxi.  The Girls recorded a narrow 2:1 home win whilst the boys made the short journey around the corner to beat SAS 6:0. Our Under 11 Netball players secured 3rd place in the city last weekend which shows just how much development they have made across the busy season. We wish the Under 11 and Under 9 players the best of luck in  this weekend’s final which will take place at DCS on Saturday.

During the last few weeks the Boys and girls CISSA Volleyball teams have made great progress.  Their team work and attitude has led to some excellent play in recent games and it’s exciting to know they are heading into the final season tournament this weekend fully prepared.  In other events this weekend we have a charity fun run organised by our year 12 students who will be collecting money for the Huaxin rehabilitation center.  The event will take place on the secondary football pitch which and begins at 13:00 and is due to end at 16:00. There will be plenty of space for spectators and vendors selling food.  Runners can turn up at any time and run for as many laps as they want.  Please enter the school through the secondary entrance and head round the school to the Football pitch.
