On Wednesday 7 June, the Year 12 Geography students ventured into Shanghai to investigate the regeneration projects occurring in Xintiandi.

The shift has been from traditional lane houses residential areas to modernized commercial areas. Splitting into smaller groups, they investigate the change in land use using a range of skills to complete different surveys from bipolar and traffic surveys to questionnaires. This was a very successful and enjoyable day enabling the year 12 Geographers to gain a great understanding into the reasons for change as well as giving them to practice their skills in time for the Cambodia trip next week.
