Year 4 Demonstrate 'Explorers' Learning

15 June 2017

This Wednesday, Year 4 rounded off their topic of ‘Explorers’ by hosting their Parent Showcase. The weather was unusually kind and allowed the children to get outside and demonstrate some of their outdoor learning as well as that inside the classroom.

Whether it was constructing shelters using wooden poles, or orienteering using directions and clues, the minds of both adults and children were busily working away. Inside the classroom, the children showed off their creative side by using iPads teach their parents how to create short Stop Motion films, and finished off their material bags by sewing on a final patch. Promises overheard from the children about mending any holes in clothes at home in the future will be monitored closely by the Year 4 teachers!

The children really enjoyed the opportunity to showcase their learning – thank you once again to the parents who were able to make it in; and for those who couldn’t – I’m sure the children will be quite happy to show you everything at home!
