Huaxin Sensory Workshop

On Friday 19 January BISS Puxi hosted the second Sensory Workshop of the academic year for our friends from the Huaxin Rehabilitation Centre.

Twelve of our Key Stage 3 Students, assisted by four of our IB students, led stations that focussed on different senses. While the children had fun trying out different activities with our students in Stage 1, their parents and carers attended a painting workshop led by Ms Dixon. At the end of the session everyone met up again for a nice lunch in the secondary Dining Room. It was a really enjoyable morning and we look forward to seeing our friends from Huaxin again soon!

‘I thought it was very a good experience especially for interacting with people who aren’t as fortunate as we are. It was also great to use my Chinese outside of class in a different context’ (Loric Vezin, Year 12).
