Art Trip: Y10 -Y13

8 September 2015

Dear Parent/Guardian,

The Year 10, 11, 12 and 13 Art students will be visiting Red Town Sculpture Park and a Flower and Insect market on the 23 September 2015. This is an exciting opportunity for them to develop their skills in the subject and to collaborate across the year groups.

Both the IB and GCSE examination boards advise that students “should interact and respond to artwork in a range of contexts.”   This trip is a wonderful opportunity to appreciate artworks in the many varied environments that Shanghai offers.

Transport to and from the school campus will be provided.  A bus will be departing from the Secondary School at 08:50am and we will return at 15.00pm. The day is free of charge. Students are advised to  bring a snack, lunch if they wish to bring their own, sketching paper, drawing equipment, a camera and money for postcards or books.

If you would like to discuss the trip or you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at the school on

Yours faithfully

Rhian Dixon

Head of Art
