EAD – Being Imaginative

With the Christmas play approaching the children will be continuing to work on their performance skills; speaking out, singing clearly, dancing with coordination and staying in character. We look forward to seeing you at our show.

The children are getting much better at the first group of ‘tricky words’ I, the, to, go, no. We will be reading different short sentences with tricky words in them such as “I am a cat”, “It is the sun”, “Can I go to bed?” So that we can practise orally blending different decodable or tricky words. Look out for the tricky words in your reading books!

MATHS - Shape

We will be looking at the mathematical names for ‘solid’ 3D shapes and ‘flat’ 2D shapes, talking about their characteristics and how we would describe them.

PSED: Managing feelings and behaviour

With our big Christmas production approaching the children are working on adjusting their behaviour to different situations, and taking changes of routine in their stride. We hope that this learning will be evident through their excellent behaviour during our performance.

Wat fijn dat de Sint ook dit jaar de kinderen van SDS niet vergeten is!   Met gevulde buikjes en blije hartjes bereiden we ons voor op het volgende feest:  Kerstmis!  We versieren de kerstboom in de klas en lezen samen `Het Kindje in de Stal`, een kerstverhaal naar Liesbeth Slegers.

In Villa Letterpret  zoeken  we woorden die beginnen met de `k`  van Kerst.
