Simon Gallington graduated in 2004 with BA (Hons) at Royal Holloway University of London and completed his PGCE in 2010 at University of Roehampton, UK. Before teaching Simon had a successful career behind the scenes on Channel 4’s Big Brother but he gave it all up for a life in education. He chose to specialise in the Early Years and Key Stage 1 and embraces learning through play, striving to develop self-confident independent children, thus encouraging them to expand their horizons and discover new perspectives. Simon joins the British International School of Shanghai community with 6 years of teaching experience in London, Beijing and most recently Tanglin Trust School in Singapore.
When not working Simon can be found embarking on new adventures with his fiancé, some of his favourite escapades include visiting Everest Base Camp, driving through the Himalayas on a motor bike and completing the world’s largest bungee jump. He is motivated by new experiences and aims to inspire the children he teaches to make their own great memories. Simon enjoys playing and coaching a range of sports as well as cheering on his beloved boyhood football team, the mighty Tottenham Hotspur.
