In 2007, Paul started a two-year master's degree at the University of Cambridge where he focused on the use of 'student voice' to develop learning within the school. Having completed his master's, he was keen to further develop his career in an unfamiliar setting. Paul moved with his family to BISS Puxi in 2011 becoming Head of PE, before taking on the post of Head of Key Stage 4. In August 2015, Paul became the Deputy Head (Pastoral) in the school.
Moving to BISS Puxi was a very easy decision for Paul as he was keen to work in a fast moving international environment with likeminded practitioners. No day here is ever dull as the students are keen to push the boundaries of their learning and the staff are keen to experiment with their practice in order to give our students a better learning experience.
Paul coaches a range of sports but his favoured three are football, basketball and boxing. He is keen to stay fit and healthy and still occasionally plays football, and takes part in some boxing coaching.
Paul enjoys achieving new things, either as an individual or as part of a team. He has played competitive sport for most of his life and takes the same attitude into his work and personal life; if he is going to do something, he wants to do it to the best of his ability.
