I graduated from the University of Leicester, with a BA degree in Criminology in 2010. After completing a ski season in Italy, I then moved to the USA for one year to work for Walt Disney World in Florida. When I moved back home I worked as a teaching assistant in Year 2, all of these experiences then helped guide me to complete my PGCE at the University of Derby. Where I then began my teaching career, teaching in Reception for 2 years in an outstanding school in Derby. In 2017, I then decided to move to Dubai where I taught in Year 2 and Year 1 respectively. I’m now excited to continue my professional development in Year 2 at BISS Puxi and explore a new and diverse culture in Shanghai.
I am a committed and passionate teacher, who sets high expectations for the children in order to make sure children achieve their absolute best. I enjoy building positive relationships with the children and bringing real life situations to the classroom using fun practical activities where the children are learning by doing.
I enjoy playing and watching a range of sports. I have a particular interest in motorsport. I love watching motorbike racing and can’t wait to watch the Formula 1 in Shanghai. I also have my own motorbike in the UK, where most weekends I’ll be riding out into the countryside or trying to race it round the local race circuit. I also enjoy skiing, photography and hope to travel as much of China and its neighbouring countries.
