Lauren began teaching as a volunteer whilst studying Law and Business at the University of Warwick. Following graduation, she gained a place on the Teach First graduate scheme and taught Business Studies in Wembley. She took her PGCE at IOE, University College London, whilst living and teaching in London. In 2017, Lauren moved to Beijing to teach younger students and taught Primary Education for a couple of years before returning to teaching Business Studies at a secondary school in 2019.
Lauren’s subject is her passion and she believes in educating the next generation to be global citizens, with an ability to navigate their own surrounding political landscapes. Lauren’s Business Studies teacher inspired her to go further and seize every opportunity in life; her ambition is to do the same.
Lauren’s free time is often spent volunteering for causes she believes in, which enables her to meet lots of people and be involved in local communities. She has volunteered in schools (delivering after school programmes), charity shops, and at fund raising events. In her downtime, Lauren enjoys theme parks, great views and delicious food. During holidays, she enjoys taking trips and travelling the world, with Asia being a firm favourite destination to explore.
