Marc graduated from Exeter University, UK with a BSc (Hons) in Biological and Medicinal Chemistry and then, went on to study a Master's in Biological Chemistry, before completing his PGCE in Science (Chemistry specialism). Marc is passionate about teaching and strongly believes in a hands-on, practical approach to learning.
After working in the south-west of England and London, Marc embarked on his international teaching career, spending five years in Bangkok. Before moving to Shanghai, Marc held various positions including: National Lead Practitioner in Practical Science, Head of Science, IB Diploma Examiner and Internal Assessment Moderator. Marc has recently received the prestigious Chartered Science Teacher status, which recognises excellence in Science teaching and learning. Gaining CSciTeach demonstrates Marc’s commitment to the teaching profession and his focus on rich experiences for our students at BISS.
Outside of the classroom, Marc enjoys travelling the world; meeting new people and experiencing new cultures. He is an enthusiastic scuba diver, runner and swimmer, and finds these excellent ways to keep fit.
