From Edinburgh, Scotland, Louise graduated from the University of Dundee with an MA (Hons in Psychology and English) She went on to study at Moray House in Edinburgh to gain her PGCE and began teaching in a small preparatory school in the Perthshire countryside. After working at schools in Scotland, Louise moved to London to further her experience. She spent six years working at Prospect House Preparatory School in Putney, London before taking the plunge to teach internationally in Shanghai. After three years in Shanghai at an international school, she moved to Dubai and after a further two years, moved back to live and work in Shanghai, where she has lived and worked for the past eleven years. Throughout this 25 year period, Louise has held several middle management and leadership roles including: Head of English and Drama, Head of Geography, Literacy Coordinator and Year Six Leader. Louise has extensive experience of special needs education throught her career and has worked exclusively in learning support for the last six years. She recently gained her Post Graduate Certificate in Special Needs Education-Eduational Testing and her Certificate of Competence in Educational Testing. She is now a registered tester with the British Psychological Society and is continuing her love of lifelong learning through working towards a Master’s Degree in Special Needs Education with Middlesex University.
