Extracurricular Activities

Collège Champittet encourages students to participate in extracurricular and after-school activities as a way to develop interests and build new skills while growing their social network.

We believe that extracurricular activities offer students an important physical, social and mental outlet. By balancing their studies with participation in sports teams, science clubs, the performing arts and other activities, students learn professional skills like time management and gain confidence.

As part of the Nord Anglia Education family, our students can participate in extracurricular activities offered in collaboration with world-renowned institutions. These include a world-class performing arts programme co-developed with the Juilliard School in New York, hands-on challenges in science, technology, engineering, arts and maths (STEAM) designed with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and opportunities to address global issues with UNICEF.

Our Pully and Nyon campuses offer a wide range of clubs and activities in sports, the arts, life skills and more. While after-school activities vary by time of year and location, the following are some examples:

  • Athletic programmes, including year-round sports clubs and after-school athletics such as dance, taekwondo, yoga, self-defence, volleyball, basketball, stand-up paddleboarding and skiing

  • Performing and fine arts, including theatre, music, singing and studio art workshops

  • Life skills, such as entrepreneurship, gardening and cooking

  • Languages, including activities and language lessons in English, Chinese and German

  • Volunteering and learning about humanitarian work, both locally and overseas, with the Collège Champittet Foundation

  • Religious courses, including weekly classes about religions of the world, as well as Catechism courses and lunchtime or evening lessons to prepare for the sacraments

Please download our brochure to learn more about our extracurricular activities.

In addition to our programme of after-school activities, Collège Champittet also offers many local excursions and international trips throughout the year. Our trips may have an academic, cultural or athletic focus, and they provide a safe, enriching opportunity for students to explore and expand their worldview. More information is available in Camps & Trips.
