It was so nice to be back in school this week after being away as I really missed the vibrant and positive atmosphere that we have at BIS Hanoi. That was certainly reinforced this week as I observed the excitement of International Week. Students have been coming up to me all week greeting me in so many different languages and were amused to see me trying to respond or looking totally bemused. Each class in Primary has been studying a particular country from Scotland to Australia and the many countries that lie in between. Friday was an extra special day as students dressed in the costumes and colours of their adopted countries. Many activities took place during the day which, pleasantly, involved many parents. The afternoon saw a truly international parade culminating with a multi country performance in the Auditorium.
Over the weekend and early next week a large number of our students will travel to Dalat to take part in DoEIA Activities. 31 students will be doing their Silver qualifying expedition and 4 students will be doing the Gold practice expedition. For a school as young as ours to have so many students participating in the DoEIA Silver and Gold Awards is absolutely phenomenal and is a testament to the perseverance of the students themselves and the wonderful staff supporting them.
I do hope that many members of the BIS Hanoi community will join us for our on Saturday. The weather is improving so it will be great to see everyone at our green and spacious campus enjoying the Winter Carnival activities.
Additionally, please follow the link below which recognises BIS Hanoi as an IB World School on their website:
I hope you have a most enjoyable weekend.
