There was a buzz in the Year five corridor today! The students were eagerly anticipating their first ‘Celebration Performance’ where they had invited their parents, the Year Six classes and their teachers.
The children were sharing their learning from English and IPC Topic classes. This half term’s theme was Myths and Legends and they were performing the ‘Theseus and the Minotaur’ story which had been the inspiration for writing their own Myths and Legends stories. Small groups then devised and showcased their own Aboriginal animal evolution story. To have the ability to share and explain learning, skills and understanding is an essential part of our curriculum and we welcome each opportunity!
It was a fantastic turn out and the children felt immensely proud to share their learning with an audience. The parents and Year sixes seemed very entertained !
A big thank you for all those who came!
