Mr Christopher Short Weekly Update 11.03.2016

11 March 2016

It’s been an emotional week for me. As you know we announced that I was moving to Dover Court International School in August. I have developed a very strong attachment to Vietnam and Hanoi in particular over the last 4 years and will be very sad to leave BIS. I am very grateful to parents, students and staff for their kind words.

On Tuesday we celebrated International Women’s Day. It was great to see the gifts that students had brought in for our female staff. I was also impressed that some male teachers were given gifts to pass on to the female teacher of their choice!

BIS Secondary

As mentioned last week Mr Rowlands and I attended training with the Council for International Schools. We are in the process of being accredited and this course allows us to part of the team that visits other schools to accredit them. It was a very intense weekend but we have learnt a great deal and met teachers and school leaders from the region and even Belgium.

Tomorrow is a busy day as we have a school production rehearsal all day and a badminton tournament. My thanks go to the staff involved and to parents for their support and help in transporting their children.
