BIS was a sea of green today as we all concentrated our efforts on recycling and upcycling our old clothes to make new exciting fashion accessories and amazing catwalk-worthy outfits.
Then after lunch, the whole Primary School came together in the Auditorium for the BIS Green Fashion Show. What an amazing collection of dresses, capes, handbags, shoes and crowns we had! The winning teams were from F2 and 4I. Congratulations to all the students as you all made a tremendous effort.
I must congratulate our Student Council for organizing our annual Green Day – they really did an amazing job of encouraging us to think about our environment. At BIS, we have been creating our own compost to provide nutrients for our garden. The Student Council members have been busy shredding the recycled paper, which has been used on both sides, to add to the compost. They also arranged, with Mr. Kevin, to plant some more trees in our garden. The winners from Year 4 were amongst some of the children who planted 5 special banana trees
