This week, in preparation for Green Day, Primary have joined forces with Ms Phillips and her Secondary science team. Together, we learnt about recycling paper and the importance of saving resources to make into a new product. As we are a growing school, it is important for us to take responsibility and do our bit for the environment. The team of students helped the younger ones make new paper from old paper. It certainly was a hands on experience and we understood how easy it was to recycle the paper!
Primary School Council presented the Green Day assembly to communicate the importance of the three Rs and how we have been helping the environment.
The members held a competition for all primary classes. Each class made four outfits fitting for the International catwalk of BIS Hanoi. The students have been very creative and innovative with recycled materials and old clothes from home and school. Have a look at some of the styles that rocked ‘The BIS Upcycled fashion Show’! Fantastic day of stitching, sticking and fastening together to create amazing clothes to brighten up anybody’s wardrobe!
Give it ago, upcycling is the newest trend!
