Dear Parents,

Our second half-term started with a plethora of activities this week as we celebrated the Big Draw (The World’s Largest Drawing Festival) across the school. The overall theme of ‘Play’ provided inspiration for our young artists with printmaking, painting and drawing on large collaborative pieces of paper amongst the many activities taking place.

Stars in their Eyes 1

Another highly entertaining event this week saw our teachers and teaching assistants take to the stage as we have never seen them before! BIS showcased their very own Stars in Their Eyes (a popular TV show in the UK). This was all for a very good cause, to raise money for our annual Tanzania community project.

BBGV Fun Run 2018 poster

We are currently preparing for exciting events which are happening in November. This weekend, on November 4th, we encourage BIS families to participate in the BBGV Fun Run which helps to raise money for local charities. BIS are sponsoring the event and therefore there are a number of places available for our community members to take part. Please contact us through the link below or call into our Marketing Office to collect race numbers. You are also able to purchase a BIS T-shirt. Due to a weekend conference in Bangkok, I am unable to attend this year however I highly recommend this event which is suitable for families, runners and walkers of all abilities.

BIS International Festival 2018

Being a global citizen is very important to us at BIS so our community is always eager to learn about different countries and cultures. Coming up on November 10th we have our International Fair which is held at the BIS campus. Come along and enjoy an action-packed set of performances celebrating song and dance from around the world. In the afternoon, our highly talented choir will be singing in Cua Bac church for a special Remembrance Day Service arranged by the British Embassy.

Inspire Me Poster

To round off a very special weekend, don’t miss our BIS performances at the Inspire Me Festival on Sunday November 11th. Further details can be found in the link below however it would be lovely to have support for our students between 1:45pm and  3:15pm.
