Activities For Your Family This Summer in Vietnam

Due to travel restriction, your family will find it hard to travel to other countries or go back to your hometown this summer. However, there are still many ways to enjoy this hot Summer season in Vietnam. Here are some recommendations from us!

During this time, Vietnamese carriers’ plan to resume international flights is still in consideration, given fresh Covid-19 outbreaks. Therefore, Vietnam is launching a campaign to reboot domestic travel and encourage people who are living in Vietnam to travel and enjoy local tourism.

Vietnam is known as a country with many travel destinations, from verdant mountains to pristine beaches to vibrant cities. Let’s take a look at our travel recommendations:

Northern Vietnam

Family Activities

Sapa is a small, mountain town in Lao Cai Province. Sapa welcomes a diverse range of visitors, attracted by the highland tribes, iconic rice paddies and forest treks. The whole area is blessed with awe-inspiring natural beauty. The best things to do in Sapa includes: Hiking, Visit tribal villages, Fan Si Pan mountain.

Mai Chau

Family Activities

Situated in easy reach from Hanoi, Mai Chau is a breath of fresh air, and a great option if you’re looking for a calm destination rich in nature and culture. The journey to Mai Châu from Hanoi takes about three hours. You can arrange a private transfer by car, hop on a shuttle van or drive there by motorbike. The best time to visit Mai Châu is from March to May or during the harvest season from September to November but it is still beautiful during the Summer season.

Pu Luong

Pu luong

Pu Luong, around 4 hours South of Hanoi, is one of the most spectacular areas of Vietnam’s North with soaring limestone peaks and deep green rice terraces dotted with ethnic Thai minority villages. What makes Pu Luong special is that so far, it’s relatively untouched by mass tourism. If you can wake up early enough, it will be a wonderful experience to catch sunrise filled around with clouds. This is a perfect place for a couple of days of trekking or chilling.

Central and Southern Vietnam

  • Hue
  • Hue

The ancient Hue, located on the bank of the Huong River, was recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1993. Home to national treasures, including complex of temples, pagodas, tombs, and monuments, this riverfront town welcomes millions of tourists arriving annually to see these fascinating sites. Besides antique sites, Hue also offers some exquisite beaches like Lang Co and Thuan An. A few mineral hot springs available are My An and Thanh Tan.

Da Nang – Hoi An

  • Da Nang
  • Family Activities

The main reason for most travellers staying here is its proximity to the well-known My Khe Beach and Hoi An. Da Nang has a 30km-long coastline, where you can enjoy diving, yachting and other water sports. In the evening, rooftop bars offer great sunset views of the city, beaches and mountains.

Peaceful and ancient, Hoi An is one of the most famous tourist destinations in the Central Vietnam that attracts not only domestic tourists but also tourists all over the world. In 1999, Hoi An Vietnam was even recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Hoi An has a great reputation for many reasons but the three most special things are architecture, food and tailors. With its Italian Rivera feeling, Hoi An is an ideal place to visit all year round.

Sun-kissed relaxation is an everyday thing in the bustling coastal town of Nha Trang. After all, this is a place with more days of sunshine per year than anywhere else in Vietnam. The town’s main beach, Tran Phu, a seven-kilometre stretch of pristine sand and clear water, bordered by rustling palms, colourful beachside bars and seafood restaurants. Families travelling with children can book luxury villas with easy access to the Vinpearl Land amusement and water park.

Phu Quoc Island boasts idyllic beaches, romantic sunsets, evergreen forests, and a serene atmosphere, making it an ideal holiday destination for travellers looking to escape bustling city life. This island is home to a UNESCO-listed national park, luxurious resorts, traditional villages, and quaint cafes along the southern coastline. Thanks to its coastal setting, Phu Quoc Island also offers fresh seafood, tropical fruits, and Vietnamese dishes at affordable prices. There are also plenty of expat-owned bistros and bars that serve western and European fare.
