The IB is a pathway to incredible global university and employment opportunities for our students. It is a qualification renowned for the international recognition it receives amongst top universities. Armed with the IB qualification, the majority of our students get offered a place at their first choice university and a high proportion of these places are at universities ranked in the world’s top 100. Securing offers from Ivy League universities in the USA and Russell Group universities in the UK is a common achievement amongst our IB graduates.
Our IB teaching programme shapes students who excel academically, creatively and as lateral thinkers. This excellence is inspired by the incredibly thorough and varied programme of subjects on offer. Under the guidance of our experienced IB specialised teachers, students study a considered combination of both academic and creative subjects.
As a result of a blended subject choice, students of the IB diploma develop a varied skill set. They are encouraged to think critically and challenge assumptions, practise research and develop independent thought and opinion. These are skills they will put to great use at university. The ability to demonstrate creativity is required as part of the students’ extra-curricular project of choice; collaboration between students helps them to solve some of the more rigorous challenges set by their course leaders; and resilience is key to balancing a number of subjects and demands simultaneously.
This well rounded education gives students a great advantage when it comes to securing a place at their university of choice, but also helps them develop on a personal level into assertive, confident thinkers who are equipped to take on any challenge, anywhere in the world.
