Taking part in sports and exercise has many benefits, from helping students stay fit and healthy, to teaching them about good sportsmanship, teamwork and dedication. It's also a great way to make new friends, have fun and get involved in the school community.
We encourage all our students to participate in physical exercise. To help them find an activity they enjoy, we offer a wide range of sports for at the British International School Hanoi, both through the standard Physical Education (PE) curriculum and as part of our extracurricular programme. Included in this are holiday sporting programmes and an extensive range of paid sports programmes.
Sports and activities on offer
Depending on students' tastes and interests, they can choose from a selection of individual or team sports, which can be played either at a competitive or recreational level. There are activities available for all ages and levels of ability.
In addition to the traditional sports of football, basketball, rugby, swimming, athletics, rounders, softball and volleyball, we also offer karate, fencing, rock climbing, yoga, kick boxing, dance and golf – so there's always something new and different for your child to try.
Students who enjoy the thrill of friendly competition have the opportunity to participate in regular inter-house competitions in football, basketball, badminton, athletics and swimming as well as representing the school in regular fixtures against other international schools in Hanoi.
All students can benefit from our world-class training and sports facilities, which include a sports hall, 25m swimming pool and outdoor playing fields.
