BLUE DRAGON

Thank you for all your support over the course of this academic year.  Your kind donations from the British Vietnamese International School have made a big difference.

Funds raised from the appeal will help girls like 'Nhi'.

Only 15 years old, she was sold 8 months ago to a man in China by her boyfriend who lives in the same commune. Nhi is from an ethnic minority group and hardly speaks Vietnamese. She hated her situation and managed to escape. She made her way to the border where she met a Vietnamese truck driver who agreed to take her back to Vietnam. The driver reported her case to the local police once they crossed the border, and Blue Dragon's team was called in to help. The team brought her back to Hanoi and identified her family. We returned her to her family and her mother was completely overwhelmed.

Once again, thanks for supporting kids in crisis over this academic year.  I hope you'll all have a great summer holiday and I look forward to working with you over the next academic year and seeing some of you soon!

All the best,

Blue Dragon Children's Foundation

I would like to add that it is fantastic that we have the support from not only students and teachers but also from our caring parents and non-teaching staff here at BVIS.  CARING is one of the characteristics in our schools Aide Memoire and it is wonderful to see how everyone in our school community has shown that they truly CARE.
