Last Friday we were delighted to welcome Blue Dragon to school. This charity that does so much to help change lives for street children in Hanoi came to talk to the school about all of the important work they are doing. In return we were able to present them with a cheque for 86 million VND which had been raised at our fabulous Christmas market last term. It was a reminder that when we act together we can really make a difference for the good of all. Thank you to Ms Thao for enabling this community partnership to continue to flourish.

I was also really pleased to hear about the many successes of our returning FOBISIA Maths students. They had been competing in the annual FOBISIA Maths competition, this year held in Shanghai, and I know, having spoken to many of the students, how inspired they felt as a result of this trip, how they got to make new friends from other countries in the region, and how much they learned about themselves, and from each other. Congratulations to them all and thank you to Mr Shaw for organising it.

Our Year 12 and 13 students have been sitting their mock AS and A Level exams this week. Many of the students have prepared very well for these last exams before the actual exams in May, and I hope they understand what they need to focus on in the final run up to the Easter holiday revision period.

The Year 11, 12 and 13 students only have about 20 days of school left before the exams start. This can be an anxious time, but we are doing all we can to support them - all their teachers are giving up time to do extra revision sessions. It is, once again, a further reminder that we are none of us on our own, and that together we can help each other achieve what we set out to.

Finally it has been wonderful to welcome back Mrs Debbie Murray- Smith this week,  following  her maternity leave. We have all missed her.

I hope you all have a lovely week ahead.
