EYFS Weekly Updates 25/01/2019 from Ms. Julie Walton

  • EYFS Weekly Updates rom Ms. Julie Walton

The highlight of our week in Early Years involved a visiting Vietnamese cook who showed all the children how to make Chung cake. They scooped, squeezed, wrapped, folded and tied them up in banana leaves with a bit of support from the adults. Why don’t you ask your children about the ingredients that went into making this cake? All the children were excited to take it home at the end of the day.

On Saturday, we will all be taking part in the Primary Tet Fair. Please do come along and join us for this event. There will be a food hall, lots of games and activities for your children to enjoy as well as some performances in the gymnasium. Tickets were sent out with your children last week. Please dress up in your Ao Dai or traditional clothes and why not have a family photo when you enter the playground?

We will also have the Primary Tet Assembly on Wednesday 30th January at 9am which all the children can dress up for. We recommend the F1 and F2 children come to school already dressed in their Ao Dai and bring their school clothes in a bag to change back into after the assembly. F3 need to bring their Ao Dai’s in for the dress rehearsal on the Monday .
