Here in Secondary this week, we have again been very busy. The IGCSE and A Levels exams have continued with some A Level students completing all of their examinations for this series. Today is their last official day in school as they start official study leave on Monday and we wish them all the best for the remainder of their exams. Year 12s will be returning for their trip week, starting on the 17th June and we look forward to seeing all Year 13 students and families at their Graduation Dinner at the Intercontinental Hotel on the 14th June. Please do look out for emails from school with further information about this wonderful celebration dinner. Our Year 11 students finish their exams on the 14th June and we look forward to seeing them for two transition days in preparation for their A Levels in August on the 24th and 25th June. More information about these days will be sent out soon.
We would like to congratulate the Key Stage 3 team of Science students, led by Mr. James Croft, who participated in the inaugural Science Kahoot Competition at the Hanoi Academy on Wednesday and after some nail-biting round finished in 2nd Place! What an amazing achievement and it highlights the high level our younger students are achieving in Science to gain this position. On Thursday, the Maths team held a Key Stage 3 House Maths Competition and after much fierce competition, Dalat were the overall winners. Well done to all who competed and thank you to the Maths Department, especially Ms. Lorraine Robertson for organising this event. Over the weekend, Ms. Kirstin McKie and Ms. Claire Bower are taking 27 students from Years 8 and 9 taking part in the World Scholar’s Cup Hanoi Round at Vinschool The Harmony. In this event, they work through a range of competitions: debating, collaborative writing and a Scholar’s Challenge. We look forward to hearing about their achievements more in next week’s article and we wish them all the best.
I hope you all have a great weekend ahead you.
