Secondary Weekly Update (18/04 - 22/04)

Welcome to BVIS Secondary activity update

In Geography

In Year 7, we’ve had a great week in Geography. They’ve enjoyed turning off their devices and working together in groups with their friends. The students have been learning all about the Americas and have shown some great atlas and map skills so far.

In Year 9, Geography, the students are preparing for their trip to the Floating Village in Hanoi next week. They have been learning all about the place and are planning what they can do to help this community.

In Year 11, Global Perspectives the students are completing their final coursework. Many of them are working so hard, we’re very proud of them!

In Drama

This week, year 11 Drama pupils started the new term by completing their second IGCSE Monologue performances. They demonstrated focus and professionalism throughout and their hard work during rehearsals was clear to see.

Year 7 have made a fantastic start to face-to-face Drama lessons. It was brilliant to see such enthusiasm and enjoyment finally working together on practical performance work.

IGCSE Presentation Evening

On Thursday night, we had our IGCSE Certificate Presentation Evening. It was so lovely to be able to celebrate the achievements of last year’s Year 11 with their parents and teachers.

I hope you all have a great week ahead.
