    Principal

    Niki Meehan

    Niki Meehan has extensive school leadership experience, with a career spanning over twenty five years and several countries. Prior to joining PBIS, Niki was Principal at Nord Anglia International School Rotterdam. She has also held leadership positions at other prestigious Nord Anglia schools in Jakarta, Shanghai, and Bratislava, where she successfully built inspirational communities for students, parents, and colleagues.

    Paul Kurczij

    Before coming to Headship, Paul gained a wealth of experience teaching across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 and has taught both in the UK and internationally. Before becoming Head of Vlastina campus, Paul worked as a deputy head overseeing a range of curriculum areas, as well as staff professional development.

    Head of ČBZŠ / Head of Czech Programme

    Petra O'Leary

    Having graduated from Charles University, Petra gained her precious life experiences in international companies, thanks to which she had opportunities to visit various countries all over the world. Petra speaks several languages fluently. She familiarised herself with the British curriculum at Riverside School. In 2001 she joined BISP, as an EAL teacher and soon developed the “Czech Programme”. In 2004 Petra successfully prepared the opening of the bilingual school (Česko Britská Základní Škola), which has been met with growing interest from the Czech public.

    Andrew Bagnall

    Andrew joined us in September 2016, following 12 years of teaching in Yorkshire, England. He gained a BA (Hons) in Journalism from the University of Leeds in 2004, writing for NME and other UK based magazines, before switching to teaching ICT and completing his PGCE in 2006 from the University of Huddersfield. During his vast teaching experience, he has taught in UK mainstream schools and within specialist colleges.

  • Olga Boshku

    Olga Jovanovska Boshku

    German Teacher

    Olga Jovanovska Boshku

    Olga was born in Skopje, Macedonia. Since she was born, she was predestined to love languages. Growing up into a multilingual family, languages like English, German, Greek, Macedonian and Aromanian have always been part of who she really is. It’s no wonder she decided to pursue a career in the field of languages.

    Olga got a BA in teaching English and German language and literature at the University of ‘St. Cyril and Methodius’, Skopje, Macedonia, which was later on verified by the ‘Charles University’. In June 2009 Olga earned her MA degree in linguistics, specializing in CLIL (content and language integrated learning).

    She had been working as an EML and class teacher at the American primary school ‘NOVA’, Skopje for four years; English and German teacher at ‘Caledonian School’ for a year; substitute EML teacher at ISP, Prague for a year; she joined PBS in 2006 as the Year 6 class teacher at the Kamyk site. Starting from 2016/2017 academic year with great pleasure she accepted the new challenge of being the German teacher for both primary and senior school at Vlastina.

    Mark Buckley

    Deputy Head of Key Stage 3 (Year 7 - 9)

    Mark Buckley

    Mark was a Head of Art in England for 7 years before joining the Prague British School in 2011. Having then led the art department, Mark moved into the pastoral side of teaching as a Head of Year, a role he thoroughly enjoyed for five years. He completed a Masters in Education in 2017, focussing on leadership and experiential education. Mark takes an active role in school life, and has also coordinated our DofE programme. Combining both his pastoral and academic expertise, Mark is now the Key Stage Three Coordinator for the Senior School at Vlastina.

    Vimbai Chiripanyanga

    EAL Teacher

    Vimbai Chiripanyanga

    Vimbai comes from Zimbabwe and moved to work in the Czech Republic in November 2008. She lived in Germany for a year before she came to Prague, and speaks some German. She has been working as an ESL teacher in public and private pre-schools and primary schools for the past couple of years. Children are her passion.

    Eva Cyrusová

    Eva graduated with a Master’s Degree in Nursing and Pedagogy and completed a 31/2-year-course on Psychotherapy in Prague. She started her career as a psychology and nursing teacher in a nursing college where she worked for twelve years. Eva has been working in our international school since 1996, and is experienced and mainly focused on child’s wellbeing, behavioural and developmental issues, including parenting.
